It is such fun to find things similar like on the biggest fashion shows. In network shops we can often find 'inspired' pieces of clothing (read: giblets few times cheaper) but anyways, I prefer to do something myself and feel satisfied. After February fashion shows I made a list of whole outfits or pieces which I would like to use (before the whole world will wear it. Look: black&white trend. Aggh, I even put all by striped clothes on the bottom of my warderobe). Okay, it was a fashion show for upcoming spring, but I was so in love with those contrast connections of bottle green and stipes and many other baggy outfits that I couldn;t help myself to copy it. When I find some stuff looking like that by world biggest fashion designers I feel like The Queen Of The World And Basicly Everything, as I have just saved about 100€. Let's do it!
To make a Tshirt similar to Acne's one you'll need scissors, needle and some thread, an old Tshirt (or new if you prefer to :). I've found mine betwixt my sister's toys. I'm really reconsidering if my house isn't a modern Hogwart) and a piece of white material (I had only a pillow case and after one hour of grumbling 'Mooom, why aren't you a seamstress?' I accepted it).
You should plan whole Tshirt. I started from cutting white parts of material and then took as much as I needed.
Zwyczajnie odcięty materiał będzie się pruł, więc podwinęłam go i zaprasowałam, by łatwiej się zaszywało.
When we cut a normal material it'll rip, so I tucked it and ironed, so it was easier to sew.
It's obvious that T-shirt won;t be exacly the same. Not the same quality, not the same material or even esthetics. But it's the best about doing something yourself! I wouldn't afford for an original one anyways. And our dear Coco Chanel besides little black dress or timeless quilted bag invented (or shall I say 'discovered') duds. When we want to get inspired by something we shouldn't follow the disigner's steps precisely. I even prefer my version with those stitches (I don't have a sewing machine, and even if I had one I am not able to use it so I have to use a traditional needle).
Another thing I liked in that particural tee was the 'MUSIC' writing. Each of us listen to music, I can't even imagine existing without a radio or headphones in my ears. Music is a part of my life and that T-shirt shows it in its special and simple way. Love it!
